Read the settings behind an admission form

Opening a classroom's admission form shows a badge saying whether it is a draft, live or closed, along with the published version's questions, the OTP switch, the admission and monthly fee fields, and the public link with its QR code. A classroom that never had a form still opens with a ready starting point.

How it is done today

In admission season a teacher cannot remember whether the form is actually live, whether the OTP check was left on, or what number went in the fee box. Guessing and sharing the link anyway means either nobody can apply, or applications arrive against the wrong amount of money.

How it works

  1. 1

The state is on a badge

A badge at the top of the editor says whether the form is a draft, live or closed, so sharing the link is not done on a guess.

  2. 2

The published version is what you see

The questions and fee figures that come back are the ones from the version currently published, which is exactly what an applicant is looking at.

  3. 3

    Settings change in place

The description, the OTP requirement, the admission fee and the monthly fee all live in the settings section, so reading and changing them is one page.

  4. 4

    Link and QR to hand

The form's public address, a copy button and a QR code sit on the same page, and the QR can be downloaded as an image for a poster.

  5. 5

    Never blank

A classroom that has never had an admission form still opens with a ready set of questions and fee figures, so nobody starts from an empty screen.

What runs on its own, what stays in your hands

What happens automatically

The first set of settings is put together for you from the classroom's own seat count and fees.

What you control

A suggested starting point is not a published form. The teacher decides which questions stay and what the fee is before anything goes live.

Frequently asked questions

Do draft edits reach applicants straight away?

No. Applicants see the version that is published. Changes made to the draft do not reach the public form until it is published again, so leaving work half finished is safe.

Who can read these settings?

Anyone allowed to read that classroom, which means its own teachers and the institution's admins. Staff attached to other classes cannot see the settings or the application link.

What happens if OTP is switched off?

With the OTP switch off, applicants are not asked to verify their mobile number and a submission counts as verified as soon as it arrives. The switch is normally left on.
