Every batch with a place of its own
In ClassTablet a batch is a classroom, and the students, announcements, materials, assignments and quizzes for that batch all live inside it. A teacher creates the classroom and gives students a code, which is how they join. Old batches can be archived out of the way and brought back later.
The pages below take the work of running a classroom one task at a time: opening a batch, changing its details, students joining, and keeping finished batches tidy.
What this covers
- From opening a batch to putting it away
Opening a batch, changing its details, students joining, and archiving a batch once it is finished: the whole life of a classroom in one place.
- Stop keeping quizzes and assignments in two places
- Know which batch is in class right now
- Keep the timetable somewhere it stays correct
- One batch, one page, nothing scattered
- Keep last year's batches out of this year's list
- Give a new batch a place of its own on day one
- You do not have to get it all right on day one
- One code, and the student is in the batch
- Ask for it when the permission is switched off
- Bring an old batch back when you need it again
- Keep two shifts of the same batch apart
A classroom can hold sections, and each section carries its own teachers, subjects, timetable and monthly fee while staying under the same batch.
- A board that belongs to the batch, not a group chat
Every classroom has a place of its own for announcements. A teacher posts there, attaches files where needed, and can edit or remove a post later.
- Stop hunting for whose phone has the notes on it
A list of the subjects being taught and the study materials attached to each one. Materials can be uploaded and taken down again when they go stale.
- No hunting for what is due today
A student signing in sees what is coming on the first page they land on: work due within forty eight hours, and quizzes opening within the next twenty four.
Frequently asked questions
Is a classroom the same as a batch?
In practice yes. What a coaching centre calls a batch, and what a school calls a section, is a single classroom in ClassTablet.
How many classrooms can one teacher run?
Plans set a limit on student numbers, and an institution's administrator decides whether teachers may open classrooms themselves at all.
How do students get into a classroom?
Every classroom has a code. A student enters that code in their own account and is enrolled, after which they see the announcements and work posted there.
