Live online classes, from routine to attendance in one place
In ClassTablet a teacher sets a classroom's weekly routine and every lesson carries its Zoom or Google Meet link. Ten minutes before it starts the teacher presses Start Class and students press Join Class. Afterwards ClassTablet pulls attendance from the meeting on its own and the recording arrives in the classroom.
Posting links in a Messenger group, writing down who came and uploading recordings to Drive stop being separate jobs. Two areas are covered here: starting and joining a class from the routine, and cancelling or moving a single date. Zoom and Meet integration is part of the Custom plan.
What this covers
- One calendar with your classes and your own work in it
The ClassTablet calendar merges classroom routine, live sessions, assignment deadlines and your own events into one page, in month, week, day or agenda view.
- Cancel or postpone a class without phoning everyone
Strike day, holiday or a sick teacher? Cancel one class in the routine or move it to another day. ClassTablet tells students and parents in the app and by push.
- A class routine that answers 'what time is class today?'
Set a classroom's weekly routine once and ClassTablet shows teachers and students today's classes, times and a join button on their home page, with a reminder.
- Classes on Google Meet, from making the link to attendance
With the institution's Google Workspace connected, teachers make a Google Meet link for each class in one tap, choose who can walk straight in, and get.
- Live classes, one tap from the routine instead of a group link
Every class in the routine carries its Google Meet or Zoom link. Ten minutes before class the teacher starts it from ClassTablet and students join in one tap.
- Online class attendance without a roll call
Ten minutes after class ends, ClassTablet fetches who joined, when and for how long from Zoom or Google Meet, matches them to students and records present or.
- Class recordings without uploading to Drive and sharing links
Online class recordings come from Zoom or Google Meet into the ClassTablet classroom on their own. Students watch or download them there, and teachers can hide.
- Classes on Zoom without sharing the password
Connect your institution's own Zoom account to ClassTablet and give each host to a teacher. Zoom links are made for classes in the routine, and attendance and.
- Keep the Zoom account in the institution's own name
- Only licensed users become hosts
- Do not leave dead Zoom accounts on the list
- A mismatched token means no attendance and no recordings
- Assign the host, not the password
- Find out Zoom is broken today, not on the day of the class
- Nobody reads the password, it is only copied
- Which Zoom host belongs to whom, in one table
- Find out whether you hold a Zoom host while setting the class up
- See which hosts are free before class time
Frequently asked questions
Which plan includes Zoom and Google Meet?
Zoom and Google Meet integration is part of the Custom plan, priced by agreement. The weekly routine, cancelling or moving a date and today's list come with every plan.
How do students hear that a class is cancelled?
When the teacher presses Cancel Class, the classroom's students and their parents get an in-app and push notification, and the routine marks it Cancelled.
Do we still take online class attendance by hand?
No. Ten minutes after a class ends, ClassTablet fetches the Zoom or Meet participant list, matches it to your students and marks anyone more than 10 minutes late as Late. The teacher can review it afterwards.
What if a student's internet is weak?
The class itself runs in Zoom or Google Meet, so it behaves on a weak connection the way their apps and browser pages do. A student who misses it can watch or download the published recording from the classroom later.
