A few last fields and then class
At the last step a student gives their gender, date of birth and the class they are currently in. This sets their role to student and creates their student record. Somebody the institution already placed skips the role picker and lands straight on this form.
How it is done today
The office cannot capture every detail at admission, and a long form is not something to hand a student either. So once classes start, the record of who is in which year is still half filled in.
How it works
- 1
Reach the setup form
The form follows the password step. Anybody the institution already placed does not have to choose a role first.
- 2
Choose your gender
Pick from the list. It is written onto the student's own account.
- 3
Give your date of birth
Enter the date of birth, which is also stored on the account.
- 4
Pick your current class
Choose the year you are in now from the list of academic levels. This is stored on the student record.
- 5
Finish setup
Finishing marks the account as complete, and the step does not have to be done again.

Frequently asked questions
Can this step be done more than once?
No. Once setup is complete, running it again comes back saying the onboarding was already finished.
What if the institution already placed me?
Then the role picker does not appear. You are taken directly to the student details form.
Where do these details end up?
Gender and date of birth are stored on the account, and the current class is written on the student record.
