Online class attendance without a roll call

In ClassTablet, ten minutes after an online class ends, the participant list comes in from Zoom or Google Meet on its own. ClassTablet matches names, emails or Google accounts to students and records each one in the attendance register, as Late when more than 10 minutes late. The teacher picks the student for anyone it could not match.

This is an automation, not AI: rule-based matching of names and emails. It comes with Zoom or Meet integration on the Custom plan. Attendance arrives on its own 10 minutes after a class ends, and a teacher matches any name it could not place.

Frequently asked questions

What if a student joins Zoom under another name?

If the name does not match, that participant stays in the Unmatched list. Once the teacher matches them to the right student, ClassTablet remembers it and matches that name on its own in later classes.

Does online attendance go into the normal register?

Yes. Attendance pulled from the meeting is written into that day's attendance register for the class, so a student's attendance record and what parents see come from the same place.

Can we see attendance while class is running?

Yes, pressing Sync Attendance fetches the list so far. It can still change while class is on, so sync again after the class ends for the final count.
