Your institution's bKash, Nagad and Rocket numbers in one place

In ClassTablet an institution admin opens the 'Payment Methods' tab in settings and adds one bKash, one Nagad and one Rocket number, with an account name and type. Students see only the numbers that are switched on when they pay, and every classroom without numbers of its own uses this list.

How it is done today

Every batch's WhatsApp group has 'bKash: 017...' pinned. One teacher gives out an old number, another their personal one. When the number changes, each group has to be told separately, and someone still sends money to the old number. At month end, working out which money went to which number is another headache.

How it works

  1. 1

    'Payment Methods' in settings

Open the 'Payment Methods' tab in dashboard settings, or use the button at the top of the Student Fees page. Only institution admins can make changes here.

  2. 2

Pick a provider and add the number

Press 'Add Method', choose bKash, Nagad or Rocket, enter the account number and, if you like, a name such as 'Main bKash Account'. Each provider takes one number.

  3. 3

    Personal or merchant

Under 'Account Type' choose 'Personal' or 'Merchant'. If you give the account a name, students see the name and type beside the number, so fewer send-money and payment mix-ups happen.

  4. 4

    Switch numbers on or off

Press 'Disable' to pause a number without deleting it; students stop seeing it. 'Delete' removes it for good, and it no longer appears as a payment option.

Frequently asked questions

Can teachers change the institution's numbers?

No. Only institution admins can add, edit or delete the institution's payment numbers. A teacher can give their own classroom separate numbers instead.

Can I add two numbers for one provider?

No. The institution has one number per provider: one bKash, one Nagad, one Rocket. To collect a batch's fees into a different number, give that classroom its own numbers.

Can I add a bank account or cash?

This list is bKash, Nagad and Rocket only. To take bank or card payments online, set the classroom to SSLCommerz, which accepts cards and other methods.
