Today's classes and the attendance you missed
ClassTablet splits a teacher's day into three parts: the class running at this moment, the ones still to come today, and every class in the last seven days that never had attendance taken. Each class is timed in its own schedule's timezone, so the clock is right for all of them.
How it is done today
The real attendance problem is not marking it wrong, it is never marking it at all. The class ends, the teacher moves straight to the next one, and that day stays blank in the register. A week later, when someone tries to reconcile the numbers, nobody can say for certain which days were skipped and which were genuinely empty.
How it works
- 1
What is running now
The class whose start and end times straddle this moment sits at the top. If more than one qualifies, the one that started earliest is shown, so the top of the page always holds a single class.
- 2
What is still to come
Today's classes that have not started yet appear in a list ordered by start time. A class that has already finished drops out of this list rather than lingering in it.
- 3
The last seven days of gaps
Every day in the last seven where the timetable had a class but no attendance record exists is listed on its own. Today is deliberately left out of this count.
- 4
Timed in the schedule's own zone
Each schedule is read in its own timezone, falling back to Dhaka time. Classes set up in a different time zone therefore land in the right bucket rather than an hour out.
What runs on its own, what stays in your hands
What happens automatically
The system works out on its own which class is running, which remain, and which days were missed. No teacher has to read the timetable against the register.
What you control
The list only shows where the gaps are. Which days get filled in, and which are left alone, is entirely the teacher's call; nothing is marked automatically.

Frequently asked questions
What shows when two classes run at once?
One class is shown at the top, the one that started earlier. The rest stay in today's list. That keeps a single job at the top of the page rather than three competing for attention.
How far back do missed classes go?
Seven days. Only days where the timetable had a class and no attendance record exists are listed. Anything older than that is not shown here and has to be found in the attendance calendar instead.
What does this page show if you are not a teacher?
Someone with no teacher profile gets all three sections empty rather than an error. Classrooms that have been deleted, or that are not active or published yet, are left out of the count too.
Can attendance be taken from this page?
This page shows where attendance is outstanding. Taking it happens on the class's own attendance page, where you work down the student list marking present, absent or late.
