Off one class is not off every class
An administrator can take a teacher off a classroom from its teacher list. Only the link between that teacher and that classroom is removed. Their account, their membership of the institution and every other classroom they teach are all left exactly as they were.
How it is done today
Teaching assignments shift mid-session: somebody picks up a new batch, somebody else goes on leave. If taking a teacher off one class means taking them out of the institution, the office stops making the change at all.
How it works
- 1
Open the classroom's teacher list
From the institution's classroom list, go to that classroom's manage teachers panel.
- 2
Find the teacher
Locate the person you are taking off among the teachers currently on the classroom.
- 3
Remove them
Use the remove action on that row. The link to the classroom is lifted straight away.
- 4
Check the list
Read the remaining list to confirm who is now teaching that classroom.

Frequently asked questions
Is the teacher's account closed?
No. Their account and their membership of the institution stay as they were. Only the link to this classroom is removed.
What about the other classrooms they teach?
They are untouched. The action deletes only the row joining that teacher to the classroom you removed them from.
Can they be put back on this class later?
Yes. Adding teachers again brings them back; nothing new has to be created for them.
