Know how your child is doing without asking them

Logging in as a parent brings up the child's own page: classes, quizzes and assignment deadlines for the next two weeks, their recent activity and attendance, and the classrooms they are in. With more than one child linked, a selector at the top switches between them.

How it is done today

Parents want to know how the studying is going, and asking gets them 'fine'. The alternative is going to the coaching centre to see the teacher, which happens once a month at best. By then two assignments have already been missed.

How it works

  1. 1

    Log in as a parent

Signing in to your own account brings the child's information up on the home page. There is no separate page to find.

  2. 2

    Choose a child

With more than one child linked, a selector sits at the top. The first child is chosen for you to start with.

  3. 3

    Read what is coming

Classes, quizzes and assignment deadlines for the next two weeks are listed, with a live marker on a class in progress. An empty fortnight says so.

  4. 4

    Read the recent activity

The activity card carries the child's latest work along with attendance marked present, late, absent or excused.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my child's phone or password?

No. A parent signs in to their own account, and once it is linked to the child's, the information is there. The child does not have to log in.

What shows before a child is linked?

The page shows the instructions card explaining how to link a child's account, rather than an empty screen.

How far ahead does it look?

Two weeks. If nothing falls in that window, the card says there are no upcoming events in the next two weeks.

What about parents without a smartphone?

This page needs one. For parents without, the institution can send attendance and result updates by SMS instead.
