- Reach the parents who do not have a smartphone
Reach the parents who do not have a smartphone
From a student's cell in the gradebook you can send their guardian a result SMS, and from the exam you can send every marked student's guardian at once. The message can carry the marks in the text, or a short link instead, which costs less to send.
How it is done today
Many guardians in Bangladesh have no smartphone, so app notices never reach them. Coaching centres fall back on ringing round, which takes about an hour per batch, and half the numbers do not answer however many times you try.
How it works
- 1
Open the exam in the gradebook
Go to the classroom's Gradebook tab and open the exam whose results you want to send. Marks have to be entered before there is anything to send.
- 2
Choose one student or all
A single cell sends to that student's guardian. The send-to-all action covers every student in the exam who has been marked.
- 3
Pick the message shape
Put the marks into the message itself, or send a short link instead. The link message is shorter, which makes it cheaper to send.
- 4
Check the cost and send
Before sending, the screen shows how many credits and how much money it will cost. Bengali counts 70 characters per SMS, and that is in the figure.
What runs on its own, what stays in your hands
What happens automatically
Guardians who already received this result are skipped, and the run reports how many went, how many were skipped and how many failed.
What you control
Which exam's results go out, in which shape and to whom, is confirmed by the teacher or admin before anything is sent.

Frequently asked questions
Can the same result go out twice?
No. Guardians who already had it are skipped, and the run says how many were skipped. When there is nothing new to send, it says that too.
Why is the link message cheaper?
Writing the marks and the subject name makes the message long enough to split across several SMS. A short link usually fits in one.
Why does Bengali cost more?
Bengali text counts 70 characters per SMS, fewer than English. The same wording can therefore split into more messages, and the screen shows that.
Where do the SMS credits come from?
From the institution's SMS credit balance, bought in advance. The estimated cost is shown before you send so there are no surprises.
