Mark quizzes and release results when you decide
In ClassTablet a submitted quiz is scored against the answer key straight away. Short answers with no key wait for the teacher, who adds points and feedback and can override any automatic mark. Clicking Release all grades lets students see the result of every attempt that has been fully marked.
Automatic scores come from the correct answers you set, and a teacher marks short answers by hand. No AI marks anything here.
Features in this area
- Mark short answers yourself, without a save button
Multiple choice is scored on its own. Short answers the key did not match are left for the teacher, and each mark saves itself moments after you type it.
- Stop letting results out one student at a time
Release every fully graded attempt on a quiz in one action from the submissions screen, with anything still awaiting marking left alone and counted back.
- Who submitted and whose paper is still unmarked, side by side
The quiz submissions page keeps the list of students who took it in a sidebar, and pressing a name opens that student's paper in the main area.
- The mark box is right beside the answer
The marking fields sit next to each answer, whatever you type saves itself as you go, and the arrow keys move you straight on to the next student.
- Not suspicion, a timed list of what happened
An integrity list sits beside the marking screen: tab switches, blocked copies, fullscreen exits, each with its time and the question the student was on.
Frequently asked questions
When do students see their result?
Straight after submitting if Show results after submit is on and nothing needs hand marking. Otherwise only once the teacher clicks Release all grades.
What if an automatic mark looks wrong?
Open the attempt and enter your own points on that answer. Your mark takes over and the student's total is worked out again.
What if I release while some attempts are still unmarked?
Attempts that still need hand marking are skipped. Only fully marked attempts are released, and you release the rest later.
